02 / The Project

Proposed 50 MMSCFD cryogenic wet-gas processing facility

The Ologbo facility sits within Ikpoba-Okha LGA, Edo State — close to existing gas gathering infrastructure, major road networks and the Escravos-Lagos pipeline corridor.

Key Deliverables

LPG Production

Domestic cooking & autogas grade LPG for Nigerian markets.

Dedicated Propane Recovery

Industrial propane recovered as a standalone product stream.

Condensate Production

Natural gas liquids and condensate for regional refineries.

CNG Production

Compressed natural gas for transport and industrial off-take.

Sales-Gas Production

Pipeline-quality lean residue gas metered into the regional network.

On-Site Power

5 MW gas-fired power plant supplying the facility and local demand.

Development Roadmap

Phase 0

Feasibility & Land

Site selection at Ologbo, host-community engagement, land acquisition and gas supply term sheets.

Phase 1

FEED & Permitting

Front-end engineering design, NUPRC/NMDPRA licensing, EIA approval and bankable feasibility study.

Phase 2

FID & Construction

Financial close, EPC award, civil works, module fabrication and installation of the cryogenic train.

Phase 3

Commissioning

Pre-commissioning, introduction of feed gas, performance testing and first LPG to the domestic market.

Unit Operations

01

Inlet Reception & Compression

Slug catching, filtration and multi-stage centrifugal compression stabilise raw associated gas before treatment.

02

Acid Gas & Dehydration

Amine sweetening followed by TEG and molecular-sieve drying takes water content below 0.1 ppmv to protect the cold box.

03

Turbo-Expander Cold Box

Isentropic expansion drops the stream to −95 °C, condensing C3+ components for deep liquid recovery.

04

Fractionation & Storage

De-ethaniser and de-butaniser columns split the liquids into on-spec LPG and condensate held in pressurised storage.

Logistics

LPG is trucked from an on-site loading gantry to depots across Edo, Delta, Ondo States, as well as other states across Nigeria. Residue gas is metered into the regional pipeline network under long-term off-take.
